When the SEM detects that data quality is suspect, it will perform a regular diagnostic check to see if the device and the belt are properly connected. This check appears in the ECG signal as a distinct artefact. You may see a blue alert showing that there is poor data quality at the same time.
For clarity, the examples below show no ECG signal except for the check. You may see these checks embedded in live ECG data especially when the LifeMonitor has recently been connected to the body and any noise is settling down.
